Hello from Chile, I have HP Victus. I was using two extra monitors for my daily work station. In my USB-C I was using a doking Asus model Simpro Dock 2 and and suddenly my USB-C stopped working - I bought a Dell W19 docking and that's when I realized that my USB-C stopped working. I tried everything related to software and nothing worked for me.
My notebook is only 6 month

Hi @Pedroalamos,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It's frustrating when a USB-C port stops working, but there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue. Here are some suggestions.
Check for Physical Damage:
- Inspect the USB-C port on your HP Victus for any physical damage, debris, or bent pins. If you see any issues, it might be a hardware problem.
Update Drivers:
- Ensure that your laptop's USB-C and graphics drivers are up to date. Visit the HP support website and download the latest drivers for your specific model.
Power Cycle and Restart:
- Power off your laptop, disconnect it from any power source, and remove the battery if possible (if applicable). Then, hold down the power button for about 15 seconds to discharge any residual power. Reconnect the power source, restart your laptop, and check if the USB-C port is working.
BIOS/UEFI Update:
- Check if there's a BIOS or UEFI firmware update available for your laptop. Sometimes, updating the system firmware can resolve compatibility issues.
Check Power Delivery Settings:
- Some laptops have power delivery settings that can affect USB-C functionality. Check your laptop's power management settings and ensure they are configured correctly.
Try a Different Cable:
- If you haven't already, try using a different USB-C cable. Cables can sometimes become damaged or faulty, affecting connectivity.
Test with Another Device:
- Connect your USB-C dock or hub to another compatible device, if possible, to see if the issue persists. This helps determine whether the problem lies with the laptop or the docking station.
Check Windows Device Manager:
- Open Device Manager in Windows and check for any errors or warnings related to USB controllers or the USB-C port. If there are issues, you may need to uninstall and reinstall the USB controller drivers.
System Restore:
- If the issue started after a recent software update or installation, you might consider using System Restore to revert your system to a point before the problem occurred.
Remember to backup your important data before performing any significant changes to your system.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
