HP ZBook Fury 16 G9 Mobile Workstation PC (609L6AV)

I have the same issue with both my zbook Fury G9, and a zbook firefly 14 G10 AMD when connected to my HP thunderbolt 4 dock. When the display is connected to the dock with HDMI 4k60 works fine, but when connected via displayport selecting 4k60 generates no display, and shortly thereafter it goes into powersave. This happens regardless of whether I'm in a wayland or X11 session. The monitor works fine connected via displayport to a desktop with displayport out. (neither laptop has displayport support directly to test) I tried to contact HP support and their solution was for me to wipe the drive and see if it occurs under windows.... entirely pointless since I don't use windows and I actually need my machine, I can't really afford to just wipe it to test something like that. I'd really like to find some resolution so that I can use HDMI for my other display that does not have displayport input. (This is presently the only external display connected)
