HP EliteBook x360 1040 G6 Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 11

Greetings,

I am working on upgrading the default SSD that came with my EliteBook x360 1040 G6 (P/N 7XF64UT#ABA) with an updated SSD (HP EX920 M.2) (P/N 2YY47AA#ABC).  I'm using the Macrium Reflect 8 to clone the drive via a USB-C external enclosure per the instructions listed in the previous post (https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Replace-current-C-Drive-SSD/m-p...).  That process seems to work fine and completes successfully.  I'm able to work with the drive in the original OS and such prior to shutting down to perform the disk swap.  The problem is that once I swap out the SSD on the system, it won't boot and the BIOS (R90 1.12.00) doesn't seem to recognize the new drive.

I can swap back the original drive and the system will boot normally.

Any suggestions?
