Using the softpaq HP TPM upgrade tool SP81000, I get the same response to each and every bin version 2.0 file: "the firmware image cannot be used to update the current TPM firmware"  I have 7 HP 8th gen units all running TPM 2.0 but I just got 3 HP prodesk 600 G3 Minis that are all on TMP 1.2 and I want to upgrade..

@2Old2Tired,

You can use the HP link below to update TPM to 2.0. Click the link and locate your model: HP ProDesk 600 G3 Desktop Mini PC. It says you need to run sp87753. Upon installation, go to the c:\SWsetuo\sp 87753 folder and the user guide there tells you how to update to 2.0: when you click TPMConfig64.exe, it'll detect your current TPM1.2 version and automatically execute an appropriate TPM 1.2 to 2.0 conversion bin file.

I found the user guide very helpful when updating to TPM 2.0 on an EliteBook 840 G3 years ago. It tells you to decrypt all TPM-based security apps. You need to disable Intel Vtx if you are using it. You may need to do some other prep work for a successful TPM conversion so read the user guide carefully.
