I am writing to request assistance with an issue I am experiencing on my HP ProBook 440 G6. I have recently installed Windows 11 version 23H2, and I am encountering problems with the fingerprint and facial recognition features.
Specifically, I receive the following error message when attempting to use the fingerprint scanner: "We could not find a fingerprint scanner compatible with Windows Hello fingerprint." Additionally, facial recognition is also not functioning as expected.
I have already tried the following troubleshooting steps:
- Ensured that all drivers and Windows updates are current.
- Restarted the laptop and checked for any system updates.
- Verified that the fingerprint scanner and facial recognition hardware are enabled in the device manager.
Despite these efforts, the issue persists. I would greatly appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter. Could you please provide guidance on how to address this problem or advise if there are any specific drivers or updates required for compatibility with Windows 11 version 23H2?
