Hi - when I last posted on this question. The ask back was for my model number which is 15-dy5073dx .... can you please let me know if it supports USB DP Alt mode? If it does not - do I have options to upgrade?

Hi @Watt77,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand the HP 15-dy5073dx Laptop PC does not support USB-C DisplayPort (DP) Alt Mode. This model includes a USB-C port, but it is primarily for data transfer and charging rather than video output.
If your laptop lacks USB-C DP Alt Mode support but you want to connect multiple external monitors, here are your options:
1. HDMI Port:
- Your laptop likely has an HDMI port that you can use to connect one external monitor.
- Check the maximum resolution and refresh rate supported by the HDMI port (typically 1080p at 60Hz for this model).
2. USB Display Adapters (Docking Station):
- Use a USB-to-HDMI or USB-to-DisplayPort adapter. These adapters work via USB-A or USB-C ports on your laptop and support external monitors.
you can shop from the HP Store Help
