Hi @RamanKa,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

We noticed that this thread hasn't had any updates since your original post. While this is rare, we didn't want this post to remain unanswered, so here's the solution to your query. We hope it helps you and everyone viewing this post 😊

I understand that your HP ZBook Fury 16 crashes after a few minutes during a video meeting when the HP Pro 5 549pm Ultrawide Monitor is connected directly through USB-C using Virtual Dual Monitor mode, with Microsoft Teams version 26106.1906.4665.7308.

Since the crash occurs specifically during video meetings with the USB-C monitor connected, we should first determine whether this is related to the graphics driver, USB-C/DisplayPort connection, monitor firmware, or Teams hardware acceleration.

Could you please provide a few more details?

  1. What exactly happens when it crashes?
    • Does the ZBook completely freeze?
    • Does it restart automatically?
    • Do you receive a blue-screen error?
    • Does only Teams close?
    • Does the external monitor disconnect while the laptop continues working?
  2. Does the crash occur only when the HP Pro 5 monitor is connected, or can you reproduce it using Teams on the ZBook's built-in display?
  3. Does the problem occur when the monitor is connected through a different connection method, such as HDMI/DisplayPort or through a dock, if available?
  4. Please provide the exact ZBook Fury 16 model/configuration, including the processor and graphics card (for example, NVIDIA RTX/Intel graphics).
  5. Please check Device Manager > Display adapters and let us know the graphics adapter(s) and driver versions currently installed.
  6. If Windows shows a blue screen or restart, please provide the exact error/message displayed.

Initial check
Before making any major changes, please update the following from HP's support page for your exact ZBook model:

  • BIOS
  • Intel/AMD chipset drivers
  • Graphics driver
  • USB-C/Thunderbolt-related drivers and firmware, if applicable

Also check whether the HP Pro 5 549pm has a firmware update available.

If you can reproduce the crash, please let us know whether it happens consistently after approximately the same amount of time in Teams. That information will help us narrow this down to the Teams/graphics/USB-C display path rather than treating it as a general system crash.

Once you provide the exact ZBook model, graphics adapter/driver version, and what happens during the crash, we can guide you through the appropriate diagnostics.

I'm an HP Employee.
