I have two HP Probook Aero 635 (G7 and G8).
The HP BIOS and System Firmware (T83) update 01.12.00 Rev.A went without a problem with the G7 (updated after update G8). During the G8 update it seemd to me that the laptop was switched off after several minutes on no action. Therefore, I pushed the power button. Since then, I always the get the same message ("Warning: This HP Endpoint Security Controller fimware is Not for Production Use.").

I downloaded the update and tried to install it via the HP Download and Installation Assistant. It said that it installed the update. But no change, I still see the message.

@HP support: what is the risk of this problem? Is my computer not secure now?
Can you please explain what I need to do to make this problem with your update go away?

Thank you very much for your answer, in advance 🙂

I have same problem.

When I asked Japan HP support, I was adviced to roll back BIOS from 01.12 to 01.11 and keep 01.11 BIOS for a while.

After I rolled back the BIOS version, the Warning message was disappeared.

The site I was suggested was shown below.

I hope this information helps you.

Same issue after installing HP Inc - Firmware -1.12.0.0 in Windows 10 Pro (21H2)

System Model HP ProBook 635 Aero G8 Notebook PC

In BIOS I can see:

   BIOS System    T83 Ver. 01.12.00 01/03/2023

the date 1/3/2023 suggests it was released to early (or by mistake)

Open URL below, chose OS and version.  Then, All drivers -> BIOS -> Previous version.

You can download an adequate version (ex. 01.11.00 Rev.A)

The link you put have typo. But anyway tried:

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-probook-635-aero-g8-notebook-pc/2100179193

and was able to rollback previous version 01.11.00,

But after restored when restarted Windows 10 again (21H2) 01.12 was updated gain.

Tried twice and rollback works only to following restart.

I'm sorry my poor English.

When I was using my Windows 10 pro (22H2) with BIOS 01.11.00,  Windows update said that " Now I am ready to update 01.12". I searched this phenomenon with google, and I discoverd a solution described below.

1. Stop automatically windows update forward 7 days.

2. You can reboot WIndows without BIOS update.

3. Press F10 and enter BIOS setup menu.

4. Main -> Update system BIOS -> Check Lock BIOS Version -> Save changes.

I was referenced below, written in Japaneese. However, I beleave you can discover a similar site written in English or please use translation service.

Hello,

I'm understanbd that v01.12 includes the inappropriate firmware version(=not production use release).

This phenomenon would reproduce on all of the same model.

HP should release the version v01.13 ASAP.

Best regards.
