Hello, we are seeing a webcam issue in our organization with the MT 46 thin clients that utilize the HP HD Camera. The issue is that over time during a video chat the image will start to have a pink/purple hue that propagates from the edges. This does not happen when switched to an external usb camera on the save device.
I originally thought it might be an IR issue, however the MT46 does not have any software listed that might allow control over any IR sensors so I'm uncertain if this camera has that integrated or not. I did find that the newest webcam driver for the elitebook 840 G6 is slightly newer and compatible with the MT46 camera, however that did not help with the problem either. Not sure where this issue lies and I'm hoping someone else may have seen this before. Any help is appreciated, Thank you!

Hello @ngonzalez ,
Welcome to the HP Support community.
The mt46 mobile thinclient is based on Elitebook AMD based hardware. I believe your issue might be related to the new hybrid web cameras introduced in notebooks since 2019. Details are highlighted here >> https://support.hp.com/hk-en/document/c07262596
I would recommend that you ensure the following:
-> UEFI BIOS is up to date. Latest is 01.05.00 as of today. This will also update your camera firmware
-> Drivers are updated, specifically the web cam driver
Software download source >> https://support.hp.com/hk-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-mt46-mobile-thin-client/37874521
-> Consider testing the camera image with a good amount of day light and see how it performs.
Do not use software or drivers for other platforms. If you use HPDM in your environment, the above mentioned updates can be pushed via it, as well.
Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes

Is this during the day ? How good is the external light ? Have you tried to compare near windows during daylight ?
I will try to find the same model mt46 , test on my own and let you know

Correct, this is during the day, however this specific image was captured in a conference room with fluorescent lights. It does seem to be an issue with the camera being sensitive to certain lights as other lighting scenarios can result in other colors such as a white or blue hue. The image will sometimes progressively turn more and more pink until you cover/uncover the sensor which seams to recalibrate it for a bit.
