Welcome to the HP User Community.

"Other" websites might define whatever categories they want.

Best idea:  Use HP Store references to understand how HP defines devices and computers it sells.

What else?

"Other" websites might sell different models - perhaps systems that have been configured for sale at that site.

For example,

The HP Store separates systems into categories as the HP company defines the computer.

Spectre systems are typically not defined as business machines by HP.

For example, the store "Business" category includes Elitebooks, Probooks, Zbooks.

Differences?

Examples...

  • Business systems are typically covered by better standard warranty, provide access to the Advanced section in the BIOS, and are generally built for upgrading and repairs in the field.
  • Business class systems usually cost more "up front" than do consumer grade models.

Which models are available?

HP does not sell all models in all locations.  In other words, HP sells what it thinks are the best options for the market.  That said, there can be regional differences:  What can be purchased from HP in the USA might be different than what can be purchased at other websites and / or in other locations / regions.
