Elitebook (all with xmm7360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

depending on the device the support page shows different drivers.

sp112306 with 2.8.4.111 Rev.A for elitebook-x360-1030-g7 (https://support.hp.com/ch-de/drivers/selfservice/hp-elitebook-x360-1030-g7-notebook-pc/34766725)

sp110259 with 0.9.4.440 Rev.A for others like 1030 G4 (https://support.hp.com/de-de/drivers/selfservice/hp-elitebook-x360-1030-g4-notebook-pc/26938573 )

I saw the xmm7560 driver has 2.8.32.234 Rev.A which actually looks like another version of the driver listed for 1030 G7 XMM7360.

Is there a way to find out which are the most recent drivers? (Without checking every Ven/HWID and search the web.)

HP does not seem to be able keeping there stuff up to date, which is kind of hilarious.

This is also the case for the Pen (WACOM), HP stuff, Intel Drivers... But for now I would be fine if somebody knows the correct xmm7360 🙂

Many thanks in advance!

BR,

Norm

@Normmmmm

They are from TWO different series (from G4 to G7 is a long way even they come out same year). Normally the later has newer drivers.

Dear Banhien,

I don't get it.

The drivers work for XMM7360 They are for that Module.

Why does the MODELL matter at all?

Both LTE modules have the exact same HW-IDs VID_8087&PID_0AC9&REV_1729&MI_00

Also why does 830 G7 and 1030 G7 have different SP numbers 112055 and 112128.

The Files are identical except the name.

The driver is the same.

I don't understand the system behind this.

Also what you are saying is basically customers have to live with problems, or buy a new device instead of installing correct drivers. This seems strange to me.

Conclusion:

- HP does not care if Customers have Problems with the Device, they keep the old driver on the Model driver Page

- HP tells Customers to live with that, sort it out on there own, or just get a new device (As if it would ba an HP than, also nice throw away attitude. Fits in the current age, not.)

- HP employees do not understand the SP Number System or know how to handle it either

Based on that I have to asume HP just does not care about customers or the environment.

Also, everybody can see you have problems in organisation if this driver handling is not flagged internaly. Must be great to work there.
