usb-c dock g5

I have historically purchased the former, but now have a quote for the Essential variant and it's nearly half the price. Yet they seem identical, bar the weight.

Can someone clarify please?

One think we can see:

  • The first one with  Power to system: Up to 100W via USB-C® Power to host (USB-C PD): 5V , 9V, 10V, 12V, 15V, 20V all at 5A MAX and the second
  • The second one  with Power to host: Up to 65 W via USB Type-C®️ (both HP and non-HP host devices)

In theory the first one is better BUT I believe they are nearly the same because the second one also has

Power delivery (PD) profiles

5V/5A
9V/5A
12V/5A
15V/5A
20V/5A
10V/5A

That means it also supports 100W

Regards.
