HP Spectre is generally a good notebook, but why is HP removing important keys from the keyboard?

For example:

Insert - how on earth was this important for code or other text editing key removed in favor of some shady "?" (questionmark)  key ?

Pause/Break - why is this important coding key left out of any Fn combination? Is it truly more important to have some rarely used multimedia actions (every player has its own anyway)?

Scroll lock - useful key in Excel sheets, is missing too.

I mean, what is the logic behind it? Many people like me will not buy HP, just because of the keyboard. That's why I didn't go for Dell XPS in the first place. Should we all opt for Lenovo just to be able to work on our laptops?

Aren't you underestimating the importance of a full keyboard on laptops?

Hello.

While I can only agree and sympathise with you about HP's woeful keyboard "innovations", there are some Fn key combinations that should work with you:

Fn + E = Insert

Fn + Right **bleep** = Pause (written on the keycap)

Fn + R = Break

Fn + C = Scroll Lock

Fn + S = SysRq

The ? key can probably be remapped into Insert or other keys using e.g. Microsoft Powertoys' Keyboard Manager (or many other keyboard remapping programs available)

Hope this helps.
