Hi *,

is it possible that the HP Security add ons prohibit that the laptop (HP Elite Dragonfly, Produktnummer: 8MK81EA#ABD) can find my new Philips TV (using WIN + K - it searches but it cannot find the TV)?

My Androyd mobile finds the TV (Philips 77OLED950).

I've also problems to get a sftp connection to a server in the internet...

(For that sftp topic I have had no problems with my HP Zbook G2 (without HP Security add ons) but the Dragonfly has.)

Any ideas?

Thanks and regards

Marc

Hello @Marc-Fr ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

If your HP device is unable to find a wireless display using the "Win + K" shortcut, here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow:

  1. Ensure Both Devices Support Miracast:

    • Confirm that both your HP laptop and the display you are trying to connect to support Miracast.
  2. Update Windows:

    • Make sure your Windows operating system is completely updated. Microsoft periodically releases updates that include fixes for connectivity issues.
  3. Check for Wireless Adapter Compatibility:

    • Ensure your wireless adapter supports Miracast. Sometimes, older adapters may not support this feature.
  4. Update Wireless and Display Drivers:

  5. Network Settings:

    • Make sure both the laptop and the wireless display are connected to the same Wi-Fi network, as Miracast requires direct communication.
  6. Enable Wireless Adapter:

    • Ensure the wireless adapter is enabled. You can check this in the Network & Internet settings.
  7. Firewall/Antivirus Settings:

    • Sometimes, firewall or antivirus programs may block connections. Temporarily disable them to see if that resolves the problem.
  8. Reboot Both Devices:

    • Restart both your HP laptop and the wireless display. This can sometimes clear out any temporary glitches causing the issue.

If you continue to have trouble connecting to a wireless display, consulting with HP support or checking your device's specifications for compatibility might help identify any underlying issues.
