HP EliteBook 1050 G1 Notebook PC

Hello,

I installed Windows 11 after completely resetting my laptop.  The latter seems compatible with Windows 11 according to the results of "PC Health Check".  However the Event Viewer is showing lots of errors related to HP SureRun.  Could you please help me resolve this issue?

The details are below:

Unhandled Error Key not valid for use in specified state. at System.Security.Cryptography.ProtectedData.Unprotect(Byte[] encryptedData, Byte[] optionalEntropy, DataProtectionScope scope) at HP.HEP.Core.HepSecureData.GetHeartbeatSecret() at HP.HEP.Core.State.InitializeWorkingData() at HP.HEP.Core.ServiceHandler.InitializeWorkingData() at HP.HEP.Core.ServiceHandler.MainServiceWorkerThread(Object state) at System.Threading.ExecutionContext.RunInternal(ExecutionContext executionContext, ContextCallback callback, Object state, Boolean preserveSyncCtx) at System.Threading.ExecutionContext.Run(ExecutionContext executionContext, ContextCallback callback, Object state, Boolean preserveSyncCtx) at System.Threading.QueueUserWorkItemCallback.System.Threading.IThreadPoolWorkItem.ExecuteWorkItem() at System.Threading.ThreadPoolWorkQueue.Dispatch()

Hello.

So this was a clean install instead of upgrade from Windows 10?

Try downloading and installing the latest version of HP Sure Run first:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp148501-149000/sp148634.exe

Also install the latest BIOS (v1.31) for your 1050 G1 laptop:
