HP EliteBook 840 G6 Notebook PC

The HP Support Assistant reminded me an a pending BIOS update (R70 Ver. 01.29.01 - 08/27/2024). Since this update, my notebook nolonger connects to the wired network via the dockingstation (HP Thunderbolt Dock G4).

The dock has firmware 1.5.24.0 Rev.C installed. The NIC driver is also up to date.

The connected display and the USB devices work just fine

Any ideas how to fix this?

Problem seemed to fix itself once I rebooted my notebook disconnected from the dock.

Had the same issue with a HP Thunderbolt G4 Dockingstation, the network adapter got not recognized anymore and a reboot fixed it.
