HP ZBook Power 15.6 inch G10 A Mobile Workstation PC (7E6L3AV)

After BIOS update 01.05.03 Rev.A, HP Power Manager cannot set charge management and shows that battery needs replacement. Battery life, however, is fine. Charge manager can be configured in BIOS. Setting it to "Maximize battery health" shows battery failure in diagnostics. However, setting it to "Let HP manage..." causes the diagnostics to pass in BIOS. At present, this seems to be a bug with the BIOS update.

Rolling back to the older BIOS fixes the issue.

Hello.

HP has release BIOS updates for multiple laptop models with some new battery health options, as mentioned in this bulletin. Bulletins and Alerts are listed on every laptop support page next to the laptop image, e.g. Zbook Power G10A support page.

Looks like HP has not verified properly Support Assistant and HP Power Manager against this new BIOS release, so all we can do is to wait for the HP engineers to come up with updated software versions.

I recommend opening a case with HP support about this problem. The more people complain, the faster it will be resolved.
