Hi Anyone experiencing following problem with touchpad.

The trackpad will constantly and randomly stop functioning when doing 2 finger scrolling.

Spoke to HP support - guy wasn't too great - did basic things I've already tried.

Stated likely software/driver issue but all HP/Windows drivers and software is up to date.

A completely frustrating experience - I've come from using a Mac just not used to all this faffing around.

Anyone out there know of a fix for this

Cheers

Jay

So I've followed HP support's instruction and did a fresh reinstallation of windows but the touchpad issue still exists and the drivers are still showing from 2006 with device manager showing a generic HID-compliant device rather than synaptic or elan specific touchpad driver. I've also gone onto MS update catalogue there are 2019/2020 precision touchpad drivers there but I don't know which to install. I know windows update and windows, in general, are a bit fragile but why don't HP support agents know what drivers should be installed for the hardware they're supporting - completely bizarre!

Happy with the laptop apart from this issue which makes it unusable - cost over 2k pre-discount so I've no intention of lugging around an external mouse or trackpad.
