Zbook G5
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello all,

this post is to inform HP INC that the Bios updated published yesterday Aug-26th, rel 01.12.00 Rev A (sp107591.exe) for Zbook G5 might be wrong built-up because if you will try to perform the bios upgrade, the update operation will apparently complete successfully and smoothly, no error messages or other symptoms.. but later on you will notice, for example by HP Support Assistant, that the Bios you are currently running is the "old one" you had and not the supposed new 01.12.00 rel 08/26/20

If you try to inspect the content of the package sp107591.exe you will observe server files and also the image of the new bios  Q70_011200.bin.. so it sounds like all it's wrapped properly.. but still, after the update, the notebook will be running - for instance - the version Q70 Ver. 01.11.02 2020-04-30  which is not the expected and latest one. I kindly suggest HP Support to verify it within their resources. Thank you, best regards, D.

Glad to know that they got it fixed. Honestly I solved it differently on the very same day that I've posted this article. I've been searching for other models of PC Zbook which shared the very same Bios (same sp%%%% file) and downloaded the package. Than I run it again from my pc and - in this new scenario - the update worked smoothly and bios got really updated as expected. So.. that's how I made it possible. Thank you! D.
