I currently have a Desktop PC I built with a separate Video card with HDMI & VGA outputs. I have 2 Asus Monitors hooked up to the Desktop Video Card. The motherboard has a USB Type-C port. I am trying to use the HP USB-C G4 Dock with 2 additional HP monitors with Digital Display Ports but they don't sow up in the display settings in the PC and remain dark. I disconnected the power to the HP USB-C G4 Dock, disconnected the original 2 monitors plugged into the video card and rebooted everything and still the 2 HP monitors don't work. Am I dreaming trying to set this up or do I need another video card to make it work and return the HP USB-C G4 Dock?
Any help is appreciated

Hello
monitors connected to DP ports of USB-C Dock G4 work only ifthe USB-C port on the mothoerboard support Alternate video mode, that means that such USB-C port provides also DisplayPort video signal.
It means that USB-C Dock G4 is able to shows something on the monitors only if it gets DP video signals from Asus PC motherboard through USB-C port.
If the Asus Desktop USB-C port is USB Data only, USB-C Dock G4 will never work, apart USB ports and network port that use USB signals.
bye
