The HP Universal Dock HSA-B005DS is a USB-A/USB-C docking station, and the HP ProBook x360 435 G8 has USB-C ports with Power Delivery and DisplayPort 1.4 support.
Yes, the dock should work with the ProBook G8 for basic connectivity, such as USB peripherals, Ethernet, and external displays. However, since the dock does not support USB-C power delivery, it will not charge the laptop. You will need to use the laptop’s power adapter separately.
If you need power delivery from a dock, you should consider an HP USB-C Dock G5 or HP Thunderbolt Dock 120W G4, which fully support charging and multiple displays.
