Hi @dorgham,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
Apologies for the inconvenience. Let me see what I can do here.
I see that, you were trying to set the printer with the router.
If you've delivered your HP Ink Tank Wireless 415 printer to an Ensure service center due to difficulties setting it up with your home router, there are a few steps you can try when you get the printer back, or if you want to try setting it up again before sending it to service:
1. Check Wi-Fi Connection
- Ensure your router is functioning properly. Make sure your home Wi-Fi network is working and that other devices can connect to it without issues.
- Reset the Wi-Fi settings on the printer. You can do this by pressing and holding the Wi-Fi button on the printer for about 3 seconds until the light starts blinking. This will reset the Wi-Fi settings, allowing you to reconnect the printer to your network.
2. Reconnect Printer to Wi-Fi
Using the HP Smart App:
- Download the HP Smart App on your mobile device or computer.
- Open the app and select Set Up a New Printer.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your printer to your home Wi-Fi network.
Using WPS Button:
- Press the WPS button on your router (usually located on the router itself).
- Press and hold the Wi-Fi button on the printer for 3 seconds until the light starts blinking. The printer should automatically connect to the network using WPS.
3. Use USB Setup as an Alternative
- Temporarily connect the printer to your computer using a USB cable.
- During the installation process, you will have an option to connect the printer to Wi-Fi. After successful setup, you can remove the USB cable.
4. Firmware Update
- Ensure that the printer's firmware is up-to-date. Sometimes, firmware updates can resolve connectivity issues. You can check for updates through the HP Smart App or the HP website.
5. Check Router Settings
- Ensure that the router’s settings allow for new devices to connect. Some routers have MAC address filtering or other security settings that may prevent the printer from connecting.
- Check the router's dual-band settings. If your router operates on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, ensure the printer is connecting to the 2.4 GHz band, as many printers do not support 5 GHz.
6. Use HP Print and Scan Doctor
- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor on your computer. This tool can diagnose and resolve many common issues related to printer setup and connectivity.
Once you retrieve the printer from the service center, try reconnecting it to your Wi-Fi network using the steps above. If the issue persists, consider updating the firmware or using the HP Smart App for setup. If the problem remains unresolved, contact HP Phone Support.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
