HP Recommended

I have an HP 8470p Core i5 laptop, the charger cord got detached, and I accidentally soldered the positive wire to the negative terminal and the negative wire to the positive terminal of the charger. When I connected it to the laptop, the laptop turned off and now it doesn't charge with any charger! It stays on with the charger connected but doesn't charge the battery! The battery is in good condition.
