Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Hello,

 

I bought a HP G5 Docking station

 

It works with my Dell XPS, however my HP Pavilion Laptop 15-cw1xxx does not.

 

No screen

No charging

 

Updated drivers

Updated BIOS

Updated AMD firmware

 

Why wont it work?

The HP USB-C Dock G5 is compatible with most HP laptop models, including those from other brands running on Windows 7, Windows 10. I am thinking the problem is because your operating system is Windows 11 and based on several challenges, Windows 11 has had compatibility issues with drivers and hardware.

 

You could try installing Windows 10 as this could fix the error and you can use your system properly.

i have looked at the manual and the USB-C says non data. So im assuming my port is not right for the docking station?
