What model processor does your notebook have?

Notebooks with the Intel core processors have two memory slots and according to chapter 1 of the service manual, support 2 x 8 GB of DDR4 memory.

Notebooks with the Celeron processors have one memory slot and can support 1 x 8 GB of DDR4 memory.

Thanks Paul, it does have Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-10210U CPU @ 1.60GHz, 2112 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)

and it has Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 8.00 GB.

Please let me know the max RAM i can upgrade to, and with what?

thanks,

You're very welcome.

Chapter 1 of the service manual on your notebook's user guides page indicates the notebook supports 2 x 8 GB.

But that manual is for the older model series with the Intel 8th gen core processors.

The Crucial memory report for the model series indicates the notebook will support 2 x 32 GB of memory.

You can run this command to see what Windows indicates is the maximum:

1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator.

This will open the command prompt.

2. Once command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx and press the enter key.

There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.

The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.

Again, thank you, after doing the division it comes out to 32 which is great, I AM technologically challenged, can you tell me what i need to look for as to the RAM memory?

You're very welcome.

I'd get the Crucial 32 GB memory kit that they indicate is compatible with your notebook:

You can buy the kit on Amazon:

You have the service manual to help you take the notebook apart, and here are a few service videos that may be of help as well:
