Hi all, Looking to find out how to check my HP 8570W elitebook's bios is in EUFI mode as i need to upgrade MXM graphics card.  i can currently get into bios (v.71) but cant find where it states either Legacy or EUFI mode.  Can anyone advise?

Thanks in advance.

@Varnavus,

You can find out if your system is in UEFI or legacy mode in Windows.

Press Windows and R keys simultaneously. In the Run window, type msinfo32 and click OK for System Information.

Scroll down to BIOS Mode and it tells you if your notebook is Legacy or UEFI mode.

Thanks, I’ve been into windows and can see the unit shows UEFI. So that’s good. I needed to check this as I’m upgrading CPU and GPU shortly and one of the pre-requisites is the bios / unit needs UEFI set.

CPU is 3940XM and GPU will be Nvidia gtx 965M
