hello...i have hp elitebook 840 G3 ...it has sim card slot but when i insert the card it does not detect..what might be the problem?

Hi:

 

Every Elitebook 840 G3 has a SIM card slot.

 

The reason your notebook doesn't detect the SIM card is because it is missing the optional and expensive WWAN adapter that is needed to connect to a cellular network.

 

In order to connect to your cellular provider's network, your notebook must have one of the following WWAN adapters present and working in the device manager under the Network adapters device manager category, and I am sure you will not find any of those listed.
