HP Universal USB-C Multiport Hub
Microsoft Windows 11

I have drivers updated both for my headphones and Hub. Whenever I connect the headphones through the port, it does get detected.

Hi @Pranil51

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

If your HP Universal USB-C Multiport Hub isn't recognizing your Jabra Evolve2 30SE headphones, here are some steps to troubleshoot the issue:

1. Check USB-C Compatibility

  • Some USB-C hubs may not support audio output through USB-C. Verify if your hub supports audio passthrough by checking HP’s official documentation.

2. Try a Different USB-C Port

  • If your laptop has multiple USB-C ports, try connecting the headphones directly to another port to rule out hub-related issues.

3. Manually Set the Default Audio Device

  • Right-click the Speaker icon in the taskbar and select Sounds.
  • Go to the Playback tab and check if your headphones appear.
  • If listed, select them and click Set Default.

4. Check Device Manager

  • Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
  • Expand Sound, video, and game controllers.
  • Look for your headphones. If they appear with a warning icon:
    • Right-click and select Update Driver.
    • Choose Search automatically for drivers.

5. Test with Another Device

  • Connect your headphones to another laptop or device to confirm they work properly.

6. Update USB-C Hub Firmware

  • Visit HP’s support page and check for firmware updates for your HP Universal USB-C Multiport Hub.

7. Check Windows Audio Services

  • Press Win + R, type services.msc, and hit Enter.
  • Scroll down to Windows Audio.
  • Right-click and select Restart.

8. Try a USB-A Adapter

  • If your headphones support USB-A, try using a USB-C to USB-A adapter to see if they work through a different connection.

Let me know if you need further assistance!
