Hello.

Windows Night Light feature can cause the yellowish tint. Check it out first.

Your graphic driver control panel also likely has options to change the RGB setting, contrast, gamma, etc. Check and reset those settings as well.

the windows night light feature is off so it cant cause the issu could you be more specific about the contorl panel rgb settings

Hello again,

Your laptop has AMD graphics and a Radeon Settings* software should be installed along with the drivers. It should be there in the Windows Start Menu, but may be found by right clicking the desktop or as a Windows Tray icon. Within this Radeon Settings software there is an option to change the RGB colour settings of each display.

If you can't find this software, you should (re)install the Graphics driver package.

* AMD may have renamed it. Last time I used the AMD Control Panel it was named Radeon Settings, but this was some years ago.

Another thing to consider is whether the this is a hardware or software problem: when you restart your computer does the yellow tint also affect the HP boot logo? Or if you press F2 / F10 before OS starts to enter the HP Diagnostics / Bios - is the yellow tint also there?

If the tint is also visible in these parts as well, this is some sort of hardware problem I'm not sure how to fix or to pinpoint the problematic component without replacement parts (display panel or the internal display cable).

so i tried the amd graphics and it helped but its still not the same as it was before the reset also i didnt notice the yellow tint in the bios

Hi,

Since the tint wasn't in BIOS, therefore this must be a software problem.

You said you did a reset. Was that the Windows built-in "Reset this PC" option? Perhaps the reset just didn't work properly.

In your case, a clean install of Windows could be the fastest path to get rid of your problem since I don't have any more ideas for what could be the cause of the tint.

Since your laptop is apparently not supported by the HP Cloud Recovery, you would first need to create Windows installation media with the Microsoft Windows Media Creation Tool. Reinstallation of Windows is destructive so back up your data first.

General HP options for Windows recovery are here:

The same document also points to another document that tells how to reinstall Windows from a USB drive:

so is there a chance to fix the problem by reseting the laptop again if so i can do that and also thinking of doing that for a few days now
