I've tried to install this software, and it only keeps saying retry HP Development Company, L.P. - SoftwareComponent - 8.10.29.1
What could be the problem?

Welcome to HP Support Community, @Gabriel022
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
1. Check Internet Connection
Ensure the laptop is connected to a stable and fast network.
Restart the router if needed.
Try switching to a different Wi-Fi network or mobile hotspot.
2. Update Windows 11
Go to Settings > Windows Update
Click Check for updates
Install all pending updates
Restart the laptop if prompted.
3. Check Device Manager for Driver Issues
Open Device Manager
Look for any device with a yellow warning icon
If you find one:
Right-click → Uninstall device
Restart the laptop to auto-reinstall drivers.
4. Re-download the Software
Go to the HP Drivers & Software page
Enter your HP EliteBook model
Select Windows 11
Download HP Development Company, L.P. – SoftwareComponent – 8.10.29.1
Try installing the file again.
5. Run Installer as Administrator
Right-click the software file
Select Run as administrator
6. Check Antivirus or Firewall Conflicts
Ensure your security software isn’t blocking the installer.
Temporarily disable antivirus/firewall (enable it again right after installation).
7. Review Any Recent System Changes
Consider whether you recently installed new software, updates, or hardware.
Undo or roll back any changes that might be causing conflicts.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
