Hi,

I got a new Zbook Studio G9. One thing that puzzles me is, that the device is not going to sleep when plugged into power.

If on battery, I close the lid or choose sleep from the start menu, it goes to sleep without issue.

If plugged in, screens go black, but fans stay on and the system is still using ~15W of power  ... way too much for sleep state.

My current workarounds are:

- remove power cord before putting system to sleep

- use hibernate instead of sleep ... which takes unreasonably long to wake up

I ran HP HW diagnostic tool, without any error indication. I also looked through the relevant Windows settings, that various articles suggest ... but cannot see any issue there.

Anyone sees a similar issues and figured a solution ?

Best Regards

Stephan
