Hey all
I have upgraded a users machine with an Nvidia Graphics card (3070) and updated the PSU as well. They had an Nvidia Quadro card before. Basically the graphics card and PSU were taken out from another machine.
Since the upgrade the the machine is now getting a 901-Chassis Fan not detected (Front) error on startup:
I had managed to find a 5 pin fan and installed this in the machine but it is still showing this error. I have tried to update the Bios but this is already up to date, I have tried clearing the CMOS but this did not work, also the fan just seems to get very loud when doing normal activities, such as browsing the web or reading email or using Excel. Since then I have removed the fan and checked the BIOS settings and came across the below:
For some reason it thinks there should be 2 front chassis fans but when investigating the motherboard there is only 1 front chassis fan:
This is the current setup of the machine:
Do I need to purchase an official Front Chassis fan from HP to fix this issue? After checking the previous machine the card and PSU were in did not have a front chassis fan, even the mother board and no pins for this.
