Welcome to our HP Community forum!
I am going to make the assumption that what you mean by "Retail Power supply unit" refers to an industry standard 24-pin ATX power supply.
Unfortunately, no such power adapter is available for your system, I should know -more about that in a second.
There are three different proprietary power supplies available for your HP Z2 Tower G4 Workstation: 250-watt, 500-watt and a 650-watt.
I would go with the 650-watt power supply option -available online via eBay, for example, as it would give you the best graphics card power options.
My credentials, so to speak: I have upgraded an HP Z2 Tower G4 Workstation a number of times, such as seen here: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Upgrading-an-HP-Z2-Tower-G4-Wor....
