I want to know if my computer supports adding a GPU card

@AIMAN9,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

Unfortunately, a graphics card upgrade is not possible in the HP EliteOne 800 G6 24 All-in-One (AIO). Here’s why:

  1. No PCIe Slot: AIO systems like the EliteOne 800 G6 have a compact, integrated motherboard design without a PCIe slot (or MXM slot) for adding a discrete GPU.
  2. Limited Internal Space: Even if there were a slot, there wouldn’t be physical room to accommodate a standard desktop GPU.
  3. Power Limitations: AIO systems have power supplies designed for the pre-installed hardware and do not provide the necessary wattage or connectors for a discrete GPU.

Possible Alternatives:

  • External GPU (eGPU) via Thunderbolt 3/USB-C: If your system has Thunderbolt 3 (some higher-end G6 models might), an eGPU enclosure could be an option, but it’s expensive and not as effective as a desktop GPU.
  • Cloud Gaming or Remote Workstation Solutions: If GPU power is needed for specific tasks, services like Nvidia GeForce Now or a remote workstation with a dedicated GPU might be an option.

If you need significant GPU power, you may have to consider a different system if you require a dedicated graphics card.

Kind Regards,
