HP ProDesk 400 G7 Small Form Factor PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

It currently has installed one of the these 512 GB NVM SSD disk in port SSD1. As far as i can see there are not an addtional SSD port, right?

I see sata ports, but i want software RAID 1. So my question is:  If i buy a 512 GB sata SSD disk, can i then make RAID1 between those two disks?  Even though its a different type hdd?

As far as i can see the chassis support only 3.5 size disks, or am I mistaken and will it also take a 2.5?

Thanks

adapters exist the will convert any std 5.25/3.5 bay to work with single or dual 2.5in devices

in order to use raid, both storage devices must be on the same controller either SATA or NVME

you can not do raid between SATA/NVME drives, and your systems bios does not support bifurcation as such you need a card that will work without this bios feature, the card below is one such that will support booting on most newer systems email vender and ask if your system is supported for booting
