So I purchased this HP EliteDesk 800 G2 Mini workstation from Woot. This is the link to the item and, if you look in the Specs tab, it clearly reads:
Expansion Slots & Bays:
(1) Internal M.2 connector for wireless NIC module
(1) Internal M.2 connector for SSD drive
Doesn't that mean to you that I can add a new M.2 SSD drive to the existing 265 GB SSD? I am opening the workstation now and can't find a way to expand. It looks like I would need to replace the existing SSD. Am I incorrect?
Here's a bunch of photos that may help you answer.
Thanks a lot in advance!

Take a look at the service manual, page 28: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04828077 The m.2 slot is beneath the harddrive; it looks like you have to remove the piece of metal with the yellow sticker (or whatever it is) to reach it.

That's it! I actually searched until I found that manual and read the section before explaining how to replace the existing SSD and didn't realize there was one almost right after on adding one. Thanks a lot!
Do you think the first section on top of that same page 28 (shown below) means I can't install anything larger than 256 GB? I hope that isn't the case.

That I don't know, but my instinct says it should be possible? I think the listed one's are HP models.

Well, I went ahead and bought a Toshiba module with 512 GB and a return policy just in case. Thanks again!
