My boot time for the Z820 is really slow.
Any owners kind to share some tips to improve boot time?
I already bought and installed ssd , but the LSI boot makes it very slow
i tried to disable the LSI boot but i couldn't ,
i press CTRL+c and disable the drive , i couldn't disable the boot rom itself and have no idea from where i can disable it
any detailed ideas?

the z820 has 3 separate SATA controllers
two blue (or grey sata 3 6GBps)
four white Intel "SCU" SATA three 3GBps ports (next to the two blue or grey ports)
these ports require the Intel RSTe driver that supports the c220 chipset
available on the HP download z820 driver page
seven white LSI "Mustang" SAS 6GBps /SATA 3GBps ports along the bottom of the z820 motherboard
windows 8 and newer will have built in driver support
you should have the boot SATA drive on one of the two blue/grey ports and the cd/DVD drive on the other port
the 4 internal hotswap drive bay cables should be connected to the intel four "SCU" ports
the LSI ports can be used for any other drives, however there is a exception............ if using SAS 6GBps drives connect the 4 hotswap bay cables to the LSI ports
to speed up boot times, enter the bios and disable the boot rom for both onboard Nics
from the z820 bios locate the LSI boot rom setting and set to disabled, windows will still see the LSI ports but you can no longer boot from these ports Note: do not disable the "LSI Device" only the LSI boot rom
last, replace the SATA boot drive with a Samsung "AHCI version of the SM951 SSD the nvme version of the SM951 will not boot!!! make sure it's the "AHCI" model that has MZHPVxxx in the model string the xx= drive size 256/512
last, disable the bios's "AMT" setting (do not set a password!!) if you do, tape the password to the inside cover as this password can not be recovered/reset if unknown i recommend resetting any password back to null/empty
AMT is useless in a non business setting and has known security risks
