Are Hp Z840 RAM modules compatible with HP Z8 G4?

I own a Z840 with 256gb of RAM (ECC REG 16GB modules PC4-2400T DDR4 DIMMS) I'd like to upgrade to a Z8 G4 and in an effort to keep costs down I wondered if the RAM from the z840 is compatible with the Z8 G4 ?

some z840 ram will be compatible, but may not be fully qualified on the z8 g4

the z8 G4 wants ram with  specs like this  which does match the z840's specs

RDIMM • 2 Rank x 8 • PC4-25600 • CL=22 • Ext Timing 22-22-22 • 1.2V • ECC

LRDIMM • 4 Rank x 4 • PC4-25600 • CL=22 • Ext Timing 22-22-22 • 1.2V • ECC

i would go to the crucial or Kingston web sites and compare ram modules between the two systems
