When a BIOS update hangs like that, it usually means the system got stuck mid-flash. First thing to try is a hard shutdown by holding the power button until it turns off, then power it back on and see if it recovers on its own. If it still freezes at the logo, unplug everything, remove the charger, and try a CMOS reset if your ZBook model supports it. Some ZBooks will also auto launch BIOS recovery on the next boot if the update failed. If none of that works, the BIOS image might be corrupted and you may need HP’s recovery USB or service support to reflash it.
