HP Z6 G5 A Workstation Desktop PC RCTO Base Model

Hello,

is it possible to decrease the CPU clock frequency for the HP Z6 G5 A Workstation Desktop PC on heavy load?

During my tests on my PC, I noticed that it revs up to a much higher clock speed of approximately 4.2 GHz, while the other identical PC only completes the test at 3.6 GHz. Is it possible to control the load and thus the maximum frequency? Perhaps in the BIOS?

And if so how to do that?

what you are doing is the "Ready Fire Aim" method of problem solving, in other words buying said system then trying to force it to be something it was not really designed to be however i realise that depending on where you live checking out a system first is not allways possible

the HP "Z6 G5 A" Workstation is a highend workstation, and all computer systems will increase their default noise level under High CPU loads as the system is allways trying to run as fast aspossible as time is money on busnieness class systems

and because they are OEM specific workstations using model specific motherboards. cases, cooling systems it's almost impossible to find aftermarket 3rd party cooling solutions

while there are a few 3rd party software based apps that allow modifications of the cpu clock speeds for over/underclocking (such as throttle stop) using such a program can cause damage to the systems hardware if the wrong settings are entered which is not something i'd want to do on a thousand dollar plus  computer setup....................
