I’m encountering an issue with my HP Zbook Firefly 14 G9 PC. When I launch the camera, an error message appears: "We can’t find your camera" (Error code: 0xA00F4244<NoCamerasAreAttached>). Additionally, my fingerprint sensor no longer works, and my USB ports are not functioning either.
In the Device Manager, the camera and fingerprint sensor drivers are no longer even displayed. I’ve tried several solutions without success:
- Updating the drivers via HP support
- Updating the firmware
- Downloading and installing various drivers
- Disabling and re-enabling certain settings
- Searching and making changes in the Windows registry

reset the bios to defaults then use the HP "cloud recovery" to restore the factory OS image to the laptop and then check the hardware (usb and fingerprint) if still having issues you most likely have a hardware issue and need to open a case with HP support if the laptop is still in warranty
repairing laptop motherboards is usually not cost effective, and replacing the board is sometimes also not cost effective compared to a complete laptop replacement

one last thing if there are multiple restore images select the one that has all drivers included
do not download the image that is just the base windows os image that lacks the drivers for that model
