no, the base models will not do hardware raid
however several options are available that differ depending on if you have the Core or Xeon based motherboard
the core model supports "Semi" intel based raid that is a low/midrange performance raid that is in-between software/hardware type raid as it's embedded in the bios
it supports
SATA RAID 0 Striped Array Configuration
SATA RAID 1 Mirrored Array Configuration
SATA RAID 5 Striped/Parity Configuration
SATA RAID 10 Striped/Mirrored Configuration
the Xeon based system supports intel "Vroc" raid via a hardware activation key
