Product: HP EliteDesk G2 Mini
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm trying to restore the OS on an HP EliteDesk G2 Mini and wanted to download the HP Cloud Recovery Client to create bootable USB media, as described here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05115630

 

The page links me here to download the Cloud Recovery Client: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp110501-111000/sp110846.exe

 

However on that URL I get a 404 not found. Even searching for that exe file brings me to dodgy driver sites, but they only backlink to the same URL to download the file.

 

Am I missing something here?

Hey thanks for the fast reply! That link worked (not in Chrome though ... but with curl managed to download the file). Now it's installing to an USB stick.

 

That URL by the way is nowhere to be found on the public portal of HP. Thanks once again!

but indeed the given link does not work with me either with firefox

To download the recovery software, go to Cloud Recovery Client. If you are prompted with a choice to run or save the file, click Run.

The requested URL /storage/nawest1/hpi.origin.cdn.level3.net/published/pub/softpaq/sp110501-111000/sp110846.exe was not found on this server.

Which browser worked for you? I used Google Chrome, the thought hadn't even occurred to me to try a different browser, if the web server returns a 404 ...

but the other one

firefox, end microsoft edge, not ok
