Hello community,

I own an HP ZBook G11 Mobile Workstation and need assistance in locating and running the official HP software utility for thermal and fan control.

 

The issue:
1. I cannot manually adjust the fan speed. Third-party utilities like MSI Afterburner show the fan control feature as locked/greyed out, indicating the function is controlled by HP's proprietary software.
2. I need to access the "Performance" or "Max Fan" profile when running demanding applications (e.g., CAD/Rendering) to keep the GPU/CPU temperatures in check.

 

Steps I have taken:
1. I searched my PC for common HP apps like HP Command Center, HP Power Manager, and HP Smart Sense but found none.
2. I downloaded and installed the "HP App" (listed under Software-Solutions) from the official HP ZBook G11 driver page. However, the application disappears or fails to launch after installation, making it unusable.

 

My Request:
Could anyone provide the exact name of the software utility required to control the fan/thermal profile on the HP ZBook G11, or a direct link to the correct download?
