The combination audio/mic jack on the front panel only detects the headphone's speakers, Not the microphone.
The microphone used to work but one day it didn't. I don't recall making any changes other than accepting the new Windows updates a few times since I first bought it.
I have tried the following:
-Checked for updated audio drivers. They were already up to date.
-Updated Bios and other pending HP updates my PC hadn't checked for when I first set it up.
-Checked for disabled devices under sound settings. Everything is enabled already. My "recording device" is named Stereo Mix.
-Disabled enhancements on Stereo Mix.
-Downloaded a virtual audio program to use instead of my default DTS Studio Sound. I got VoiceMeeter, made that default. Didn't work for the microphone.
- Disabled/enabled my Pixio display audio (The PC thinks it has audio capabilities, but my version of the display has no actual speaker/microphone components on it. It's the cheaper version I guess?) I'm not sure if this is interfering with anything.
-Opened the mini pc and checked for loose components. Everything is tight.
-Access to microphone by other apps was already allowed.
Thanks in advance.

From the following information it has TWO different ports, one for microphone and one for headphones.
Regards.
