The HP ProDesk 600 G3 MT was one of my upgrade projects: Solved: Upgrading HP ProDesk 600 G3 MT - HP Support Community - 8544105. There is a compatible 400-watt power supply upgrade available for your HP ProDesk 600 G3 MT, with part number: 942332-001. You can purchase this power supply via any online eCommerce sites, such as AliExpress.
With the 400-watt power supply, I very successfully installed an RTX 3060. Other cards to consider in that same class: GTX 1660 Ti and the RTX 2060.

Thanks so much for your help. Where I live, no local seller for that PSU. If I order through AliExpress, lot of hassle waiting for me at customs! But eventually I'll have to order through AliExpress.
Can I use 1650 with that existing PSU?
Thanks again for that thread, resourceful!

You are very welcome!
Yes, you can power a GTX 1650 graphics card, as long as you got a 250-watt power supply (p/n: 922456-001 / 901760-002 / 901760-004), and the GTX 1650 doesn't require a PCIe (6-pin) power supply cable.
Would Amazon-India be less trouble to order the 400-watt (p/n: 942332-001) power supply: LXun Upgraded New 942332-001 400W Power Supply Compatible with HP 280 288 285 480 600 680 800 G3 G4 ....

thanks. I live in bangladesh, IT products are all imported with high taxes. I guess my best option to go for GPU without extra power connector (stick to my 250W PSU). I thought I'd get a 1650 easily but no luck. Some new rx 6400 available in the market. Easily available is RTX 3050 6 GB regular one around $200, not the LP one. Concern with the PCIe 3/4 issue and whether a regular 3050 would fit inside the case!

An RTX 3050 would work and fit just fine -you did watch my HP ProDesk 600 G3 MT upgrade link, right?- and I am not sure what you mean with "the PCIe 3/4 issue": there is no issue -a PCIe gen 4 graphics card is backwards compatible and will work in a PCIe gen 3 slot, but it will run at PCIe gen 3 speeds. This limitation typically causes only a minor performance loss (around 1-2%), which is, quite frankly, negligible for all intents and purposes.
