My new Creative SoundBlaster GS3 is not detected by the OS.
I have tried both USB-A and USB-C connectors in the PC (GS3 has USB-C) to no avail.
My USB ports are functioning and the HP Support Assistant does not detect the device either
There are no indication in Device Manager that there are any issues with USB connections
Any help/suggestions appreciated

DGroves - thanks for the feedback
The GS3 uses Bluetooth OR Aux in OR USB as inputs, as per their advertising
I have managed to get the unit functioning by replacing the supplied USB-C to USB-C cable with another (better quality, perhaps) charging cable from another device. There was obviously an issue with the first of my own cables that I tried.
More testing by myself may discover why the first 2 cables did not work.

the creative GS3 is a USB POWERED BLUETOOTH 5.4 enabled sound bar
in order to function it must be connected to a usb port at power the GS3's onboard Bluetooth
next, the computer must have bluetooth, either onboard or via the Pci-e (if non laptop) or via a bluetooth USB dongle
and a quick check of your model compoter shows that bluetooth is via a optional Pci-e card
from the HP quickspecs:
if bluetooth is included on your laptop check the laptops bios to make sure it's enabled then check windows device manager to make sure windows has seen and enabled it on a OS level
once both power and bluetooth are enabled/working on the OS, then install the creative GS3 software which should install and necessary drivers/apps to use the sound bar
