HP t540 Thin Client (9MR33AV)

We have 500+ HP Thin Clients all running Windows 10 IoT and we manage these via HP Device Manager, currently using v5.0.11.

Can anyone advise how you go about deploying Windows OS Updates to HP Thin Clients via HP Device Manager?

On the devices themselves you have HP ThinUpdate where you can download OS Updates for the device, and I guess you could go through manual process of disabling write filter, installing update and re-enabling the filter etc, but that is not practical with 500+ devices.

You cannot just enable normal Windows Updates, because HP Thin Clients have Write Filter, so any changes are just lost on reboot.

HP Device Manager allows you to deploy packages / templates and as part of that process it will disable/enable the write filter so those changes stick. Also in HP Device Manager you have HP Update Center to download updates for the various HP software, bios or whole image etc, which you can then deploy to all your Thin Clients. But HP Update Center does not include OS Updates.

So what is the correct process to deploy OS Updates to HP Thin Clients via HP Device Manager?
