Can I install a Samsung 980 PCIe 3.0 NVMe M.2 SSD 500GB (MZ-V8V500BW) using an M.2 PCIe Adapter Card for NVMe SSD? Just as a storage not bootable.
Thanks

Hi:
According to this discussion, it will work for storage.
Bear in mind that unless you use a PCIe x4 or x16 NVMe adapter, the drive is only going to use one PCI express lane when it is supposed to use 4. The PCI x4 adapter would go in the white PCIe x4 slot that looks like a video card slot.
Using a PCie x1 adapter means the speed will be reduced around 3/4 of its advertised speed, making it hardly any better than a SATA SSD.
