EliteDesk 800 G5 Mini
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

We purchased around 30 EliteDesk 800 G5 Mini PC's a handful of them are having power issues.  They will get a critical shutdown error. They won't power on again until you unplug the power supply from surge protector and plug it back in, if I unplug the power supply from the PC and plug it back in it still doesn't power on.  I've tried swapping out the power supply and that doesn't seem to resolve the issue, it will power on but then shuts down again at some point.. This appears to be a defect in this model as I have at least 3 of these with this issue.

before you blame the power supply try this:

1. replace or remove the surge protector i've seen them go bad and cause weird issues

2. move one of the affected systems  off the current wiring circuit/outlets to a power breaker/circuit that has no computers on it

if necessary move the system/monitor to a different location (do not use a power strip!!)  i suspect the shutdown issues will no longer occur
